tea cup clock

I saw one of these and just loved the idea so I thought I would give it a go! I already have lots of tea cups....

and a crappy looking clock that still worked that my sister was throwing out....
a piece of marine ply that was hanging around the garage made a perfect base, so I measured it up and cut it out...

the clock that I saw had amazing scalloped edges around the tea cups, but as I don't own a jigsaw and had to turn to the renovator tool my clock is just going to be round. Time to place some teacups before painting....

Wait! I am cracking out the old pressed wallpaper to give it some style....

Clock mechanism in place and teacups attached, Now I have a clock in the lounge room!

Tea Cup Pin Cushion

Years ago my Mum made this little pin cushion in a flower pot, it should look like this...

BUT! today I dropped it and it now looks like this....

Oh No! after looking around, I came up with this...
after a little extra stuffing and some hot glue, now I have this....

Some of my favourite things in Caspers room!

 1. Lego Station, all bits free or found! except the lego, I couldn't believe Marc's work was throwing that map out!....

2. Drawers, $12 at the lions, they even have little key holes and wheels!!!....

3. Mounted Deer, I LOVE this little head, my friend Wendy found it on the side of the road, I just added the little wooden plate....

4.Comic Books in Frames, these used to belong to my husband Marc and Mie Ling (my mother in law) had saved them, What a Super Saver!

5. Casper....

Coat Racks

I like to collect all sorts of knobs, handles, offcuts and any bits off furniture I have dismantled. I have quite the collection....

I usually convert this type of thing into some sort of coat rack, mainly to get Caspers crap (and my handbags) off the floor. Here are a couple of my current coat racks. They are ever changing and always being moved and swaped around as I find more interesting knobs and offcuts....

In the entrance.... I just love these pieces of wood! they were once a frame for a mirror with lights that fit behind a bar that my sister had removed from her house

Chair panel with some wooden pegs added...

In the bathroom....same deal here with the wooden pegs, but the base was once part of a bed I think? I found it on the side of the road...

In the lounge room....the short side of the mirror frame....

In Caspers room....this piece comes from the back of these drawers....

and in the bedroom....
