Tea Cup Pin Cushion

Years ago my Mum made this little pin cushion in a flower pot, it should look like this...

BUT! today I dropped it and it now looks like this....

Oh No! after looking around, I came up with this...
after a little extra stuffing and some hot glue, now I have this....

Some of my favourite things in Caspers room!

 1. Lego Station, all bits free or found! except the lego, I couldn't believe Marc's work was throwing that map out!....

2. Drawers, $12 at the lions, they even have little key holes and wheels!!!....

3. Mounted Deer, I LOVE this little head, my friend Wendy found it on the side of the road, I just added the little wooden plate....

4.Comic Books in Frames, these used to belong to my husband Marc and Mie Ling (my mother in law) had saved them, What a Super Saver!

Coat Racks

I like to collect all sorts of knobs, handles, offcuts and any bits off furniture I have dismantled. I have quite the collection....

I usually convert this type of thing into some sort of coat rack, mainly to get Caspers crap (and my handbags) off the floor. Here are a couple of my current coat racks. They are ever changing and always being moved and swaped around as I find more interesting knobs and offcuts....

In the entrance.... I just love these pieces of wood! they were once a frame for a mirror with lights that fit behind a bar that my sister had removed from her house

Chair panel with some wooden pegs added...

In the bathroom....same deal here with the wooden pegs, but the base was once part of a bed I think? I found it on the side of the road...

In the lounge room....the short side of the mirror frame....

In Caspers room....this piece comes from the back of these drawers....

and in the bedroom....

New Year pickings...

The new year is already producing some top finds...
Found!

$1

8 chairs found!

More doors, these will be used in the shed

$4

Seat with storage

I am building another bench seat, this time it will have storage and live inside the house. I imagine it in my entrance under the staircase with shoes, bags and bits stored inside.

I started with these bits....

A free bed head and drawers and some wooden paneling that used to be a part of my kitchen...

Righty O,
I cut and stuck and cut and stuck with my multi renovator tool and arrived at this...I still had spaces at the back, but I had used up all my bits and pieces....

So I found some old foam core board, you can buy whole pieces of furniture made out of this stuff at IKEA, so I cut it to size and covered it with some pressed wallpaper to make it special....

2 perfect panels, then I fixed them like so...

and here is the item before the paint job...
and here is the item after the paint job....

and here is the item in the house.....

Jean lounge revamp

Ever had an idea you just had to act on? I have been thinking about covering a lounge in denim jeans forever and after Casper took to the back of mine with bleach (as well as previously vomited, peed and picked his nose on it) I decided it was time to give it a go!

I collected ALOT of jeans....and started cutting

Here is a before picture of the lounge, with the bleach toting menace. After I took these photos I thought it actually looked quite nice, I had to assure myself it was a festy mess that needed sorting, (the lounge not the boy)....

and the bleach.....
What started out as a great idea, turned into a time consuming nightmare! but I had to persist. In order to cover the lounge I had to cut it up a bit, so there was no giving up and returning to what was really a perfectly OK good lounge (except for the bleach, pee, etc....)

Finally, a finished product.....

This ones next, it has great bones and was given to me by a friend. I think I am going to do something with velvet.....
