A lovely lady I work with gave me this table....
it was a bit dark and gloomy and the criss crossy things on the doors were dust collectors!
I took this old lamp shade and cut it up to replace the door panels....
gave everything a lick of paint and a bit of rough sanding....
ready for the lounge room, with lots of storage!
Hello! Welcome to my post, a post about the wonderful possibilities of junk... Nothing excites me more than junk, a garage sale, a pile of crap on the side of the road - wood, rust, old paint and fabric - is that sad ha ha? The amazing art of up-cycling gets me going, I love the idea of creating something beautiful from items that were headed for landfill. I created this blog because I needed to, I have a lot of thoughts and projects to share. I hope you enjoy...

Magnetic Notice Boards
I picked up a couple of old metal trays at a garage sale,...
I wasn't keen on the super shiny, so I added some salt and vinegar....
and ended up with a super cool rusty effect....
a great place for sticking important little bits and pieces....

Letterbox
I needed a new letter box, so I rummaged through my junk and came up with this...
a box...
a frame...
some bits and pieces...
adding some peaks...
and a roof....
a hole...
some paint...
and some numbers...
This is what the old letterbox looked like...
and the new one...

Pile of Fun!
There were mirrors!
and these two beauties! I shall join them together to make a little bathroom bits and pieces shelf...
started rebuilding the base unit, but the drawers were a right off...
so swapped the drawers for a shelf
filled in the gap and roughed it up a bit...
didn't mind the colour so I put in in the bathroom
